The Reorganization Committee met at the Whitestown Town Hall, 6320 S. Cozy Lane.
The meeting began with a presentation by Clinton Bohm, Worth Township Trustee, regarding the responsibilities and functions of Worth Township and was followed with a presentation by Dawn Semmler, Whitestown Town Council President, to discuss the responsibilities and functions of Whitestown.
The Committee also formally adopted the name of the Reorganization Committee and our mission statement. We formed six subcommittees (Government Organization and Finance, Utilities and Public Works, Public Safety, Planning and Zoning, Roads and Transportation, and Civic and Social Services) and determined our future schedule. The Reorganization Committee will meet the first and third Thursday of each month. If you are interested in serving on a subcommittee, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The next meeting will be January 20, 2011 at the Whitestown Town Hall, 6320 S. Cozy Lane. We will be discussing issues pertaining to Public Safety.
