The plan was submitted to the governing bodies of Worth Township and the Town of Whitestown on October 13, 2011. A copy of the plan is included below.
The final Reorganization Plan has been approved by both the Worth Township Advisory Board and the Whitestown Town Council. A copy of the final plan is included below.
The fate of the plan is now in the hands of the voters. The question “Shall the Town of Whitestown and Worth Township reorganize as a single political subdivision?” will be placed on the November 6, 2012 ballot.
For the plan to pass, it must be approved by a majority of the registered voters of incorporated Whitestown and a majority of the registered voters of unincorporated Worth Township. If either vote is not a majority, the plan will not pass.
